In
November 2020 the Go Green movement was born with a burning passion to make our
world a better place by planting and growing trees. The global outcry on
global warming and the adverse effects of global warming that have hampered the
progression of our environment was one of the reasons that pushes this movement
to gather and advocate for the good of the environment.
Partners, well-wishers, students, and environmentalists came out in their numbers to participate in this project that is going to impact generations they planted 3000 trees in the Wangari Mathai institute. Throughout the year the Go Green team has been enquiring and visiting the trees to see how they are fairing and the results are quite encouraging since there is a 78% survival rate of the trees.
We thank all the partners, well-wishers, and the environmentalist that share in our passion and vision to plant one million trees across the country by 2030. Hellen Keller once said that “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” As the Go Green team, we believe that together this vision is achievable and that’s why we are requesting you to continue supporting this vision by:
• Donating tree seedlings
• Contributing cash that will facilitate the payment the hiring of more caretakers that can take care of the tress by watering (especially in the dry season) and clearing the bushes around the trees
• You can also buy the Go Green Merch
"One of the best gifts we can give to future generations is trees"
